Karen LePage is a handmade clothing and sewing pattern designer and instructor. She blogs at OneGirlCircus.com and was co-author of Sewing for Boys: 24 Projects to Create a Handmade Wardrobe, Wiley 2011. She designs sewing patterns for Monaluna and also volunteers at Small Craft and Handmade Detroit events, is a member of the OMHG community, and co-hosts classes, workshops and crafty get-togethers with Rae Hoekstra at Pink Castle Fabrics in Ann Arbor, MI. Karen has a contributed to Stitch Magazine and has been a featured author on Instructables.com. Her work has been featured in international press and media.

Shelly Figueroa is the founder of “Figgy’s” a sewing pattern company offering simple, modern & contemporary patterns for children. A contributor to “Sewn Hats” books, Wiley Publishing 2012. She is a member of the Portland Modern Quilt guild. She is a sewing instructor for Modern Domestic Sewing Studio and is well known at the local fabric shops in in Portland, Oregon for workshops and pattern design. She has been featured on the pages of Sewing World, Sew Hip , Sew Wow, Craftzine, Making, Cloth and Simply Homemade magazines and on numerous sewing/crafting blogs around the world. She currently resides in the “Creative Capital of the USA”: Portland, Oregon with her husband Adam and two sons.
